“Tree Cow” has been one of my most popular woodcuts. The subject is a Belted Galway steer standing in front of a blue spruce tree which had a twinned crown. When I saw that calf standing there I knew I had to use the compelling image.
It is also the subject of a large oil painting that will be on display and for sale at this year’s Stutz Open House on April 29 and 30.
