This little work has been very popular with studio visitors. The starkly lit white horse runs around the corner of the field of seed corn ready for picking. Soybeans ring the field of seed corn creating a buffer from the pollen of other corn. There’s a storm in the offing and the road leads sharply away on the right side. I was fortunate to have horses for most of my life and worked hard to take care of them. I did not come from a family that could afford horses and had to earn to have them. They road me out of a chaotic home life. My last 3 died, one each year ending in 2017. Part of myself went with them.
